... or "Picture Put It Where You Want It" Photo Copier is a native Win32 application designed to automate the copying of your digital images directly from your cameras' memory card. This free utility will create destination directories based on your preferences and the details obtained from the each digital image.
You only have to configure the software once, selecting the base folder (usually "My Pictures") and selecting the format of the folder structure. Optionally you can select a "backup folder" to have Photo Copier make a backup on an external hard disk at the same time as copying to your computers' hard disk. Then each time you run Photo Copier just select your memory card from the list and click a button to copy all the files into the correct folders.
There's more I could do with it, like excluding certain files (CTG files spring to mind), preventing it from making a copy of a file whose name already exists where both files are identical and if anyone asks me, I'll probably do it. Here's the legal stuff: it's freeware software, you are welcome to use it and share it. I make no guarantees of it's fitness for a particular purpose but it is tested and I use it myself.
